Getting paid in your country

Whether your store can use Shopify Payments depends on where your business is based. Here is what that means for you.
Shopify Payments works only for businesses based in the countries Shopify lists. If your country isn’t on the list, your store uses a payment provider that connects to Shopify, plus manual methods such as cash on delivery.

Some local cards are declined for Shopify's US-dollar subscription; check yours before your trial ends.

Options are limited and merchants report rejections; we check the current choices with you before you pay
Manual methods such as cash on delivery are a common start.

Choose a provider
One that connects to Shopify in your country.

Apply and verify
In your own business name; approval is the provider’s decision.

Add manual methods
Cash on delivery or bank transfer, so you can take orders from day one.

Place a test order
Before you open, so you know checkout works end to end.
Third-party providers can add Shopify’s transaction fee (it depends on your Shopify plan). Manual methods don’t.
What we never do
We never create payment accounts in someone else's name, never use a borrowed foreign address or company to get you a provider, and never ask for your payment-provider login.
Paying Shopify’s own bill from your country
Shopify bills most stores in US dollars, so you need a card or account that allows international recurring payments. Some local debit cards are declined. Check this before your free trial ends.
